Nada O. Hanafi, MSc, MPH

Nada Hanafi is a thought leader within the life sciences and MedTech industry with over 22 years of experience across the public and private sectors. She is the Founder of MedTech Strategy Advisors, LLC where she advises life science companies on regulatory strategy, product development, and clinical research to accomplish regulatory, compliance, and business goals. Nada spent over 12 years working for the FDA, serving in increasing roles of responsibility and ultimately as a Senior Science Health Advisor in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), where she led cross-Center and Agency programs for the advancement of FDA's mission to promote and protect public health, including serving as co-founder of the Health of Women (HoW) program, the Network of Experts program and the Patient Preference Initiative. She served as CDRH Liaison and Subject Matter Expert to FDA’s Office of Women’s Health (OWH) and the Office of Minority Health (OMH). She collaborated with the Center for Tobacco (CTP) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where she served as Senior Management Advisor to the Director at the Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH), to improve regulatory efficiency and to strengthen data collection. Nada’s drive and passion to address health inequities with a focus on women and minorities led her to co-found MedTech Color in 2018. MedTech Color is a non-profit focused on advancing the representation of people of color in the field and works closely with the FDA in increasing clinical trial enrollment participation to represent diverse populations as part of the MedTech Color Collaborative Community. Nada also serves on the Steering Committee and as co-lead on the Regulatory and Science Policy Subcommittee for the Innovation Equity Forum (IEF) led by the NIH Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Nada holds an MSc in Biomaterials and a BEng in Biomedical Materials Science & Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London. She earned her MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Nada is a Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) and a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Bethany Corbin, Esq.

Bethany is a healthcare innovation, femtech, and privacy attorney on a mission to help thought-leading companies revolutionize the global women’s health sector. She is the Managing Partner of Women’s Health Innovation Consulting and the Co-Founder and CEO of FemInnovation. Through these companies, Bethany helps unite the women’s health ecosystem to drive meaningful and sustainable change in women’s digital health and Femtech. Bethany is a recognized thought leader at the intersection of women’s health, law, and technology, and was named a Top 200 Trailblazing Leader in Women’s Health and Femtech. She is a recipient of the 2023 Champion in Healthcare Award (Global HEaL Awards) and was a 2023 recipient of the American Bar Association’s On the Rise Top 40 Young Lawyers Award. Her strategic insights have been featured in top news outlets and she is a guest contributor to Entrepreneur, Med Device Online, and MedCity News. Bethany has testified about the importance of data privacy for reproductive health before the Maryland Cybersecurity Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Consumer Privacy and is an Advisory Board Member for Kisaco Research’s Women’s Health Innovation conference series. Her guest episode on the HIT Like a Girl Podcast discussing the impact of the Dobbs decision on women’s digital health won a 2022 Power Press Award. Bethany previously worked in several law firms and served as the Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. Courts of Appeals in Washington, D.C. She earned her LLM from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, JD from Wake Forest University School of Law, and BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Liz Powell, Esq., MPH

Liz Powell, Esq., MPH started G2G Consulting in 2007 after working as Legislative Director in Congress, Policy Analyst for the Health Committee in the UK Parliament, and political campaign staff. She is the Founder and President of G2G (Government to Growth), which has raised $528 million in non-dilutive funding for clients, shaped regulations and policies, and organized advocacy campaigns. For over 20 years, Liz has been creating G2G strategies for changemakers to accelerate organizational growth, eliminate barriers to innovation, ensure meaningful access to innovation for all populations, and access funding. Her firm provides the monthly GBG (Government Bioscience Grants) Reporting Service that includes a curated listing of grants of interest to the life sciences and a monthly webinar where experts share insights on these opportunities and how to pursue them. Liz also serves on the Steering Committee’s Regulatory and Science Policy Subcommittee for the Innovation Equity Forum led by the NIH’s ORWH and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, created and leads G2G’s Women’s Health Advocates, and helped launch the Women's Health Innovation Coalition in 2019. She has received several awards, including the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2015, One to Watch in 2008, and Young Woman of Achievement Award in 1998. Overall, Liz earned an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health, JD from George Washington University School of Law, and BA from Colgate University.
